Priestly Fraternity Saint Michael The Archangel
"Living the Gospel in Order to Promote the Extension of God's Kingdom"
CONTaiNERs of hope
Ever since 2004, friends and priests associated to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Michael the Archangel in the south of Chicago began the task of sharing the gifts and talents which God grants us every day. For part it was nothing less than a loving avalanche of generosity by a group fired up with enthusiasm to send a container to Peru filled with warm clothing, medicine, food and many other things.
remember The Priestly Fraternity of St. Michael the archangel in your estate planning
Like any other institution engaged in the Apostolic work of the Church, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Michael the Archangel stands in need of a solid economic foundation. The individual members of the Fraternity do not seek money for themselves, but they do need it in order to sustain the work that the Fraternity undertakes.
Saint Michael the Archangel School
As you probably know, the Church has always been interested in education. It was thanks to the Church that the great medieval universities in Europe were founded. It has been thanks to the Church that in the U.S.A. every level of education has been offered to all levels of society, whilst poor children have been educated in countries throughout the world. It is probably true to say that the largest single educator in the world is the Catholic Church, and although in most countries the State has taken upon itself the task of educating youth, the fact remains that there is still an important role that the Church can and must play. The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Michael the Archangel feels a call to participate in this undertaking.
Saint Michael's book
Our founder has sought books about Saint Michael and hasn't able to find anything more than a few short pamphlets and articles on the Internet. So the object of this book is to present the Archangel and expound what is his role and what is the devotion that he has inspired, above all as an expression of Christian Faith in the context of Catholic Church. Saint Michael is also honored in other Christian confessions, especially in the Orthodox Churches and in the ancient Churches of the Middle East; and even further afield, outside Christianity, amongst Jews and Moslems. As a result, we find references to Saint Michael not only in the Bible, in the texts of the Fathers, and in Christian prayers and devotions, but also in some of the apocryphal books that were written during the first century of Christianity, in the Jewish Midrashim, and in the Qur'an.
